Matthew's birthday!!
For my little dinosaur loving pirate boy's birthday we let him plan his day!! In the past we've gone to the shore to celebrate his birthday & the unofficial start to summer....this year was much cuter!
For breakfast he wanted strawberries (not a bad choice!!) so we had danish to go along. He unwrapped his gifts (or should I say treasures?) beforehand since there was a coin line leading to his treasure! He kept on saying "Oh my very own...." it was so adorable! He was even thoughtful enough to let his little brother help him with unwrapping & sharing in his joy!
He then told us he wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese. We asked him for days what he wanted to do & gave him oodles of suggestions, this was not one so we figured he really wanted to go. I prepped myself for pure chaos, but actually it wasn't that bad!! I guess since it was a holiday weekend people had other plans??! Afterwards we took the boys to the promenade to splash in the sprinklers.....starbucks just happened to be there calling me in!! hahaha
He then wanted Chick Fil A for dinner (I did not put a bug in his ear about this one!) Unfortunately they were closed so he was easily convinced to eat at Red Robin. At the end of our meal he was excited beyond belief to have the waiters sing to him & bring him out a yummy sundae!! Cake at home followed & then the birthday boy was off to bed!!
It didn't seem that busy but for the first time in months I was asleep right after the kiddos!! It was a great day! It's hard to believe he's 4! He's got the biggest heart & the sweetest smile! It's so great to be a Mama of a fun loving 4 year old!!

My hubby got this for me for Mother's Day. He had one made of Matthew's hand when he was 18 months, it'll be so cute to hang them side by side!! He told the lady he'll be back in about 2 years....hehehe! Now I have to figure out where I'll hang it!!

Big Boy Bed??
So Marc decided he wanted to be a night owl & an early bird. That wasn't going to work for me....I need to bank all my sleep!! LOL
I thought well maybe he's ready for big boy bed, maybe he'll sleep better? It won't be hard, Matthew had his crib converted at 16 months. So we tried the big boy bed. As you can see in the picture he liked it! Even slept so cute (once sleeping that is)!! The first night he got out & pounded on the door calling for me. The second night was much better. Well each night after he wasn't having it, he would get up & pull clothes out of his drawers then when he got caught he would laugh & run wild. Naps were way out of the question. I don't have it in me & clearly he's not ready. We switched it back! And yup this morning he slept until 7:30!!!!! WHOOO HOOO
Just goes to show how different my sweet boys are! Matthew wouldn't even get out, even called for me in the mornings!! Oh I had it made with him....or should I say with ONE!!!
What on earth will THREE bring??

Weekend projects
Matthew & Daddy got started on painting the baby's room! Yes it's orange.....and I like it!!
While they were busy doing there thing I decided to paint this old barnwood shelf I picked up.
Final project in buttermilk milk paint!
